KBOCC celebrates 2023 graduates

ASSOCIATE DEGREES–The Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College 2023 graduation ceremony was held at noon on Saturday, May 6, at the Niiwin Akeaa Center. Associate degree holders line up to get their picture taken as a class by friends and family to remember the moment.

Opening with a drum beat that could be felt all throughout the gymnasium, the Woodland Singers processional ushered in the beginning of the 2023 Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College (KBOCC) graduation this past weekend. The 2023 Honors & Commencement Ceremony was held at noon on Saturday at the Niiwin Akeaa Center where graduates, honorees, and staff followed the guest drummers and the KBIC Honor Guard who posted the Colors. Bryan Welsh began the ceremony with an invocation, and Robin Chosa, KBOCC Chairman of the Board of Regents introduced KBOCC President, Lori Ann Sherman.
