Homecoming week held at LAS

HOMECOMING PARADE–L’Anse celebrated homecoming last week with a parade through town among other events. The theme of the parade this year was childhood board games and the winning float was the senior class with their entry of Candy Land.

L’Anse Area School (LAS) faculty and students celebrated homecoming last week with a slightly different twist due to varsity football being cancelled. Events kicking off Homecoming week included dress up days during school hours with MondayMerica and sporting events including 7th grade girls’ basketball played at Lake Linden on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, and 8th Grade girls’ basketball at Hancock. On Tuesday, Pajama or Formal Day, Jr. High football was played at Ishpeming while Freshmen, JV, and Varsity volleyball was  played at Lake Linden.
