Pethtel loves a 10-foot stump!
A dying spruce tree in the yard of Ojibwa Community College’s Wabanung campus in L’Anse (the old hospital building) is quickly becoming a beautiful symbol of Native culture. Chainsaw wood-carving artist Rich Pethtel of Chassell put his talents to work last week, creating a very meaningful and beautiful representation of spiritually powerful animals.
