The U.P. Honor Flight lived up to its name Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 for two Nisula veterans. Ron Fedie and James Sullivan caught the flight to
Washington, D.C. for a daylong tour of war memorials and a heroes’ welcome wherever they went. From a daylong police escort to a ‘water
gun salute’ by the Escanaba Fire Department that doused the plane upon their return, the vets were liberally thanked for their nation’s
freedom. To read more, subscribe to the L’Anse Sentinel online, or buy a print copy at our local retailers.
